Deal: Elephone P6000 Pro and Elephone P8000 for $119-$169

(sponsored)

Right now, there’s an event going on at Everbuying. They’ve got three phones on sale, the Elephone P6000 Pro with 2 GB of RAM for $119.99, the Elephone P6000 Pro with 3 GB of RAM for $139.99, and the Elephone P8000 for $169.99.

All three of these phones use a 1.3 GHz octa core MediaTek MT6753 processor. Other than the one phone that’s otherwise noted, they both have 3 GB of RAM. Right now, I would take the time to challenge you to find another phone with an octa core processor and 3 GB of RAM for that price.

I’ll wait…

OK, now that we’ve done our research and shown that there are no other comparable phones at that price, let’s see what else we have.

So probably the big difference with these two phones is that the P6000 Pro has a 5″ HD display that comes out to 294 ppi and the P8000 has a 5.5″ 1080p display, coming out to a whopping 401 ppi. They’re both IPS LCD and they’re both going to be stunning.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Let’s get down to the camera, shall we? Both the P6000 Pro and the P8000 rock a 13 MP rear camera, but that’s not all. The P8000 has an f/2 aperture, so you’re guaranteed some awesome low light shots. The P6000 Pro has a 1600×1200 front facing camera, so it’s better than 1080p. The P8000 has a 5 MP front camera, so you have plenty of room to crop photos.

The Elephone P6000 Pro has a 2700 mAh battery, which is really great and it’s certain to provide a full day of battery life; however, it pales in comparison to the Elephone P8000, which rocks a whopping 4165 mAh battery, which is going to guarantee you just about two days of battery life. Ever forgot to charge your phone? Well, you don’t have to worry anymore with the Elephone P8000.

The real winner here is the Elephone P8000, but that’s not surprising. It’s the most expensive out of the three. The Elephone P6000 Pro is a solid phone at a solid price. They both have the same processor and the P6000 Pro is available with the same RAM.

Again, I’ll challenge you. Find a phone with an octa core processor, 3 GB RAM, a 13 MP rear camera with f/2 aperture, a 5 MP front camera, a 1080p 5.5″ IPS LCD, and a 4165 mAh battery for only $169.99. What are you going to find? A Moto E with a 0.3 MP front camera, 5 MP front camera, 1 GB RAM, a 540×960 display, and a 1.2 GHz quad core processor?

I’ll wait again…

Now that you haven’t found it, come on back here and buy one of those phones. You deserve it for all of that hard work you put in trying to see if you could find a better deal.

Again, the Elephone P6000 Pro with 2 GB RAM is $119.99, the Elephone P6000 Pro with 3 GB RAM is $139.99, and the Elephone P8000 is $169.99.

Act now! The deal on the Elephone P8000 ends on July 27 and the deals on the Elephone P6000 Pro end on August 25!

You can grab any of these phones from Everbuying right here.

Teclast X98 Air 3G Tablet: Android and Windows in One for only $201.29

(sponsored)

Ladies and gentlemen, your dream has come true. For just $201.29, you get everything you want from a tablet.

I know my readers and this is one of the most requested items that people ask me about, a tablet that dual boots Android and Windows.

The dimensions are the same as an iPad. It’s 9.7″ with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a 2048 x 1536 resolution. That is a Retina display. Personally, 4:3 is my favorite tablet aspect ratio. It’s the same as a piece of paper, so it’s very comfortable for reading in portrait mode.

It’s powered by an Intel Atom processor, 2 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage. The Intel Atom is 2.16 GHz quad core, so you really have some power under the hood. It’s 22 nm, so it’s Intel’s Haswell.

I wrote that last paragraph to show that the specs are good, but that’s not the selling point of this thing. The selling point is that it dual boots Android and Windows.

Windows isn’t a great tablet OS. There isn’t really any good reading apps. In fact, most of the best apps on Android aren’t available on Windows.

You’re getting the best of both worlds. You get all of those fantastic tablet apps from Android and then you’re able to get real work done on Windows. There is an additional snap-on keyboard available, which is similar to a Surface cover.

Basically, the Teclast X98 Air is like a combination of an iPad Air 2 that runs Android and a Surface 3, if that makes any sense. It’s really everything that you want in a tablet.

Then there’s the price. I called it a combination of an iPad Air 2 running Android and a Surface 3, both of which would cost $499. You could easily pay $700 for something like this, but it’s only $201.29. It’s absolutely incredible.

But wait, there’s more. This is a cellular tablet, something that’s typically worth an additional $100 in a tablet, but not here. Now, when you’re on the go, you can get your work done or type up that blog post when the idea strikes you, or you can buy a book and read it on Google Play Books.

With the Teclast X98 Air, you can do anything.

Get a Xiaomi Redmi2 Pro from Gearbest for Just $142.79

(sponsored)

It’s certainly amazing, the quality of the phones coming from China these days, given the price of the unlocked devices. Here in the United States, a decent phone costs a minimum of $300. A flagship costs at least $600.

Today, Gearbest is selling the Xiaomi Redmi2 Pro for only $142.79.

The Xiaomi Redmi2 Pro uses the 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 410 processor. The device is currently running Android 4.4 KitKat, so when it gets updated to Lollipop, it will make full use of the 64 bit processor, meaning that a fast phone will become even faster.

The display is a 4.7″ HD IPS LCD. That display is powered by an Adreno 306 GPU. It’s important to note that many phones that are released with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4xx processors ship with an Adreno 305, so this is going to have more power to push those pixels.

The pixel density of the display is 312 ppi. This is the same pixel density as many flagships that come in at around $500, such as the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. In fact, it’s just a few small pixels shy of Apple’s definition of Retina.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Then there’s the camera. The rear camera is 8 MP with an f/2.2 aperture. Personally, I find 8 MP to be the perfect camera size. Anything more than about 6 MP has to be scaled down to fit a 4K display, so you know you can’t tell the difference between that and anything more. Also, the resolution is low enough to provide larger pixels, allowing for better low light performance. Combine that with an f/2.2 aperture and you have a great camera.

That’s not all. The Xiaomi Redmi2 Pro comes with 16 GB of onboard storage and 2 GB of RAM. Of course, there is also microSD support. I often tell people that 2 GB of RAM is plenty. There are new flagships coming out with 3 or even 4 GB of RAM for a $700 phone, but it’s unnecessary.

Mobile operating systems are designed to only use memory for the app that’s in focus. It frees up memory when you have apps in the background. This is why 2 GB of RAM is plenty. There are still PCs sold with 2 GB RAM. For $142.79, this is an amazing phone.

Here in the United States, there are plenty of phones that you can get for this price, but nothing this well specced.

Grab a TSL 3S M3G for Just $139!

Here comes another deal from Gearbest. This one is the TSL 3S M3G and it’s only $139. This phone is a beast. I really have to say, when you look at these deals from Gearbest and compare them to the prices of phones in the United States, it’s incredible the amount of value that they deliver.

The TSL 3S M3G uses a 1.5 GHz octa core 64 bit Snapdragon 615 processor combined with an Adreno 405 GPU. That’s a newer GPU than the Adreno 330 that ships with the Snapdragon 801 chipset. This is a powerful phone.

The Adreno 405 GPU powers a 5″ 1080p display, delivering a 443 ppi pixel density. Keep in mind that the iPhone 6 is 326 ppi, so this is well beyond Apple’s definition of Retina.

Then there’s the camera. The TSL 3S M3G uses a 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera, both with an f/2.2 aperture. There’s also an 88º wide angle front camera, allowing for great, high resolution group selfies.

You can grab the TCL 3S M3G from Gearbest right now for $139.99. Again, just look at what else you can get for that price in the United States. This is cheaper than a Moto E. Also, it’s unlocked so you can use it on the carrier of your choice!

Deal: Flash Sale on Mlais MX Base and Mlais M7

Gearbest is having a flash sale for both the Mlais MX Base and the Mlais M7. You can grab the MX Base for just $99.99 and the M7 for just $159.99.

Storage 16 GB, MicroSD 16 GB, MicroSD
RAM 2 GB 3 GB
Battery 4300 mAh 2600 mAh
Price $99.99 $159.99

I will start this off with the obvious thing I usually do. Compare this to ANY phone in the United States for these prices. Sure, you could get a great for for $100 with a two year contract, but then you’re getting charged an extra $25 a month JUST for being under contract. We’re talking about unlocked phones here. This pricing is unheard of here in the United States.

There’s also not a single phone sold in the United States that uses a 4300 mAh battery. That will get you a solid two days of battery life. You don’t even have to make sure you charge it at night!

But that’s the Mlais MX Base. If battery life is your thing, that’s all you. For me, the Mlais M7 is what’s catching my eye because I’m all about the camera.

The Mlais M7 uses a Sony IMX135 Exmor RS sensor, which is the same sensor found in the rear camera of the Nexus 6 and the OnePlus One, except it’s a quarter of the price of the Nexus 6 and half the price of the OnePlus One.

Then there’s the RAM. 2 GB is plenty, which is what the Mlais MX Base uses, but the 3 GB in the Mlais M7 is sheer power. Combine that with a 1.7 GHz octa core processor and this phone is a beast!

Consider this: You can grab a Mlais M7 for the price of a Moto E. Sure, the Moto E is OK for a budget phone, but the Mlais M7 is good as an overall phone. You could easily pay $500 for this thing.

Then you have the Mlais MX Base, which you can grab for the price of a cheap prepaid phone that I can’t even think of a brand name for.

This is an awesome deal. The phones are unlocked, so you know that they’ll work on AT&T or T-Mobile or whoever your carrier is. Just pop the SIM in there.

Check out the flash sale here.

Grab a Meizu M2 Note for $169

(sponsored)

Another deal from Gearbest has crossed my desk and this one is a whopper. This time, it’s the Meizu M2 Note.

There’s really nothing not to like about the Meizu M2 Note. There’s a lot to talk about here, so we may as well start off with what you’ll be looking at, the display. The display is a 5.5″ 1080p IGZO display, which works out to 401 ppi. Even Apple defines Retina as 326 ppi and this is well in excess of that.

At just 8.7 mm thin and 149 g, the Meizu M2 Note is sure to be comfortable to carry. Despite being thin and light, the Meizu M2 Note still packs a 3100 mAh battery, which is sure to provide all day battery life.

That battery powers a 1.3 GHz octa core MediaTek MT6753 processor and the display is powered by a triple core GPU. The device uses 2 GB of RAM, which is unheard of at this price, and comes with 16 GB of on board storage with microSD expansion.

Then, there’s the camera. The rear camera is 13 MP with an f/2.2 aperture and a dual LED flash. It features a five element lens, blue filter glass, a 300º panoramic lens, and it’s all protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 lens cover. But that’s just the rear camera.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The front camera is 5 MP with an f/2 aperture, which is sure to provide awesome low light selfies. The front camera sensor is Omnivision OV5670 Purecel. It is a four element 69º wide angle lens.

Really, you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see that the Meizu M2 Note is a sure winner, especially coming in at $169. Surely, you could expect to pay twice as much for a device with a rear camera this good, a front camera this good, a display so good, so thin, so light, a battery so powerful, and an octa core processor.

You can grab the Meizu M2 Note right now from Gearbest by clicking here.

Grab a Huawei P8 Lite for Only $206.99

(sponsored)

Today’s deal is the Huawei P8 Lite. The Huawei P8 Lite uses Huawei’s own processor, a 1.2 GHz octa core Huawei HiSilicon KIRIN 620. Keep in mind that that’s 1.2 GHz PER CORE, putting it on par with many of the $600 phones on the market.

The Huawei P8 Lite features a 5″ HD IPS LCD, which is powered by a Mali-450 MP4 quad core GPU, so you can expect solid graphics performance.

The camera might be the most impressive feature of the Huawei P8 Lite. It features a 13 MP sensor, which will leave plenty of room for cropping; however, it also uses an f/2 aperture, which should provide fantastic low light performance. It also uses a dual LED flash, which is really impressive for a device at this price.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

You also have a 5 MP front facing camera. This will provide lots of high resolution selfies. Keep in mind that all you need for a great photo is about 5 MP, since all you need to fill a 4K display is about 5 MP. Everything else gets scaled down.

The Huawei P8 Lite also comes with 16 GB of onboard storage. Of course, that is expandable with a microSD card. It also features 2 GB of RAM, which is plenty for smooth performance.

Get a Siswoo A5 Chocolate for Just $99.99

The Siswoo A5 Chocolate. Just the name itself is enough. It goes alongside other names of Siswoo products such as Longbow, Darkmoon, Cooper, Monster, and not to mention the A4 Chocolate. But Chocolate just sounds delicious, and this deal is delicious.

The Siswoo A5 Chocolate uses a 1.5 GHz quad core MediaTek MT6735 processor. The 5″ qHD display is powered by a quad core GPU for strong graphics performance.

The rear camera is 5 MP bringing you roughly 4K pictures, with features such as digital image stabilization and digital zoom. The front camera is 2 MP, giving you 1080p (full HD) selfies.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The Siswoo A5 features 8 GB of onboard storage; however, there is a microSD expansion slot for adding additional storage. The key here is that the Siswoo A5 Chocolate features 1 GB of RAM. A full gigabyte of RAM is important in a budget phone, as many phones at this price point only have 512 MB of RAM, keeping the user from having access to apps that require additional memory.

All of that is powered by a 2200 mAh battery. With a qHD display and a 1.5 GHz quad core processor, the Siswoo A5 Chocolate is sure to provide all day battery life to the user.

The Siswoo A5 Chocolate runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and can be yours for the low, low price of just $99.99. You really can’t ask for more for under $100.

Get a Oukitel U8 Universe Tap for Just $130.49

(sponsored)

I have to say, this is a really cool phone. It’s the first phone I’ve ever seen that has no bezel. The display actually goes from edge to edge. It’s beautiful.

The display is the key feature of the Oukitel U8 Universe Tap, with a 5.5″ HD IPS LCD with a 2.5D curved glass screen. It actually goes from edge to edge. It’s awesome.

That display is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core MediaTek MT6735 processor, which is backed up by 2 GB of RAM. Actually, I should say that the display is backed up by a quad core Mali-T720 GPU. Either way, it has some power to back it up.

The Oukitel U8 Universe Tap also has a powerful set of cameras. The rear camera is 13 MP with an f/2.2 aperture, making it excellent for low light. It also uses a dual tone LED flash. Many phones that come in at this price only have a single LED flash, which is next to useless. Not this one. This is a great deal.

The front camera is 5 MP, which is plenty for a front camera. In fact, it’s all you need. If you look at your photos on a 4K display, 5 MP fills the screen, assuming that the photo is taken with a 4:3 aspect ratio. We can assume that selfies don’t need to be cropped as much.

Another cool feature of the Ouikitel U8 Universe Tap is the fingerprint reader. Just press the fingerprint reader to unlock the phone.

The Ouikitel U8 Universe Tap uses the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop. Also, a 2800 mAh battery, so it should be good for all day battery life.

The real selling point of this guy is the display. This is something you can show off to your friends. Coolest thing ever. Buy it now for $130.49.

You can order the Ouikitel U8 Universe Tap here.
