A couple days ago now, Cyanogen finally released CM12 to the OnePlus One, after what seemed like an endless run of delays. At first, we were told that it would be available within 90 days. After they failed to meet the deadline, we were told March 30. After they failed to meet the deadline, we all waited anxiously until the release.
After living with OxygenOS for a week, I was very pleased to go back to CyanogenMod. I did a walkthrough of what’s new, although there really doesn’t seem to be any new features, which is a bit disappointing. Most of what’s new seems to be a material design; however, that’s true of Android Lollipop itself as well.

Over the weekend, OnePlus finally released OxygenOS, after working on it for months. After four to five months of work, it must have some pretty cool features, right? Well, no. As soon as I heard about the OnePlus Power Bank, I jumped on top of it. When Microsoft flew me out to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, I came home with three 6,000 mAh portable chargers; however, none of those are 10,000 mAh. It’s like Pringles. Once you pop, you can’t stop.
The OnePlus Power Bank finally arrived to my home yesterday and boy, is it a capable charger. It’s not just the storage that makes it awesome. It’s the sleek design as well as the ability to charge two devices at once. Not just that, I ran a few tests as well.

No one is more excited than me right now. One of the reasons I purchased the OnePlus One was because of the StyleSwap covers that they promised, the first of which would be bamboo. For months, it said “Coming Soon” on their web site. Then, they made an earth shattering announcement. They would break another promise and would not produce not only the bamboo StyleSwap cover, but any of them.
Later, they would sell off the bamboo StyleSwap covers that they did produce. They gave away limited invitations to purchase it but they were few and far between. They had another giveaway and still no luck.

I have been using the OnePlus One for a few weeks now and it is a very interesting phone. There are parts of it that are fantastic and there are parts of it that make me want to throw it in the trash.
It’s fast, the camera takes beautiful photos, and it runs Cyanogen. On the other hand, multitouch doesn’t work and there is a slew of other bugs reported by the folks in the OnePlus forums.
