LG Lancet vs Yezz Billy 4.7 Comparison

Recently, I received the LG Lancet to review. It’s LG’s first attempt at a Windows Phone since Windows Phone 7. Well, let’s just say it’s LG’s first attempt at a modern Windows Phone.

So far, I’ve been pretty impressed with the LG Lancet. My first instinct was to compare it to the Microsoft Lumia 735. After all, those are Verizon’s two mid-range Windows Phones. As it turns out, the LG Lancet blows away the Lumia 735 in benchmarks, but not much else. Battery tests weren’t great, nor was the camera, which might not have been fair, considering how stellar the Lumia 735 camera is (first phone to have an f/1.9 aperture. That’s right, Galaxy S6 fans).

Microsoft Lumia 640 vs Yezz Billy 4.7

By Rich W Woods

It’s been a couple weeks since I published the review of the Yezz Billy 4.7. In case you don’t remember it, it was called It Fills a Hole Left by Lumia. The Yezz Billy 4.7 sits right in between the Nokia Lumia 635 and the Nokia Lumia 735, at a price point not recognized by Microsoft with the Lumia line.

The Yezz Billy 4.7 is a stunningly beautiful phone, much like old school Nokia phones used to be. It’s super thin and light with a 4.7″ 720p display, which results in the same pixel density as flagships such as the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. It also uses an 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera.

The Microsoft Lumia 640 might be the one to fill that hole, depending on the price point it comes in at. I reached out to my Lumia contact, asking what the U.S. price is going to be for the Lumia 640, but they are tight lipped on the price. At the same time, Daniel Rubino has said that it will cost $99.99 for the T-Mobile locked model.

Yezz Billy 4.7 vs Moto E (2015) Camera Comparison

By Rich W Woods

The Moto E and the Yezz Billy 4.7 are two very different phones. The Moto E has a better processor and LTE while the Yezz Billy 4.7 has a better display and higher resolution cameras. The one thing they have in common is the price. They both sell for $149 unlocked.

I have been spending a lot of time with both of these phones over the last couple weeks and I’ve been finding both to be totally amazing. These OEMs continue to pack value into these low cost devices and it makes me wonder how they are going to justify the $600 price tag when it comes time to release their flagship.

Yezz Billy 4.7 vs Yezz Andy 5T Comparison

By Rich W Woods

I am one of few that is lucky enough to have a Microsoft Store within ten minutes of driving distance. I am one of the very few that has two Microsoft Stores within 20 minutes of driving distance. Every time I go to the mall, I stop by the Microsoft Store to visit a few friends and see what’s new.

Every time I stop in the Microsoft Store, I would admire the Yezz Billy 4.7. It’s such a sleek phone, so thin and light, with a beautiful HD display. I got home a few weeks ago and thought to myself, why haven’t I ever asked Yezz to send me one to review? I asked and I received. They through in a selection from their Android line as well, the Andy 5T. I asked for one of their Firefox phones, but those aren’t in production yet.

The Yezz Andy 5T is just as sleek as the Yezz Billy 4.7. It’s thinner than the Billy, coming in at 6.9 mm while the Billy comes in at 7.2 mm; however, it’s heavier than the Billy, coming in at 123 g while the Billy comes in at 120 g. Either way, they’re both super thin and super light, and they both come with three removable backs, which is awesome.

Nokia Lumia 1020 vs Yezz Billy 4.7 Comparison

By Rich W Woods

I have been using the Yezz Biloly 4.7 for about a week and a half now. I love it. It retails for $179.99 and I could see myself using this instead of a flagship. It might not be blazingly fast, but it makes up for it in form factor and fashion. It’s super thin and light and it’s beautiful.

I want to compare it to the Nokia Lumia 1020. I don’t expect the camera to live up to the Lumia 1020, as no phones really do. We all know that the Lumia 1020 has one of the best smart phone cameras on the market. The question is about how close it comes.

I’m also curious about benchmarks. All of the original Windows Phone 8 phones used dual core Snapdragon S4 processors. They’re dinosaurs now, compared to the Windows Phone 8.1 phones that use quad core processors. I want to see how the flagship Windows Phone 8 with 1.5 GHz dual core processors stand up to even the low end 1.2 GHz quad core processors in the Yezz Billy 4.7 or the Microsoft Lumia 535.

Microsoft Lumia 535 vs Yezz Billy 4.7

By Rich W Woods

I have been spending a lot of time with the Yezz Billy 4.7 as of late. It is a great phone and I have been enjoying it thoroughly. It’s incredibly thing, uncannily beautiful, and it’s the lightest phone I’ve ever held. Honestly, based on my experience so far, I would consider taking it over a flagship. It’s just a really pleasant phone to use.

It seemed fair that the first phone I would compare the Yezz Billy 4.7 to would be the Microsoft Lumia 535. They both use a 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 200 processor, 1 GB of RAM, a combined 10 MP (between front and rear. See what I did there?) camera, 8 GB of storage, and most importantly, they both deliver a hell of a lot of value for the price they are offered at.
