WatchOS 2 Beta 4 is Now Available to Developers

Today, Apple released its normal round of betas, including iOs 9 Beta 4, Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan Beta 4, Xcode 7 Beta 4, and of course, WatchOS 2 Beta 4. WatchOS 2 Beta 4 is the only one of the above that isn’t available through a public program. You need to have a developer account. Well, or know someone with a developer account.

WatchOS 2 Beta 3 Release Notes

WatchOS 2 Beta 3 Release Notes

By Rich W Woods Yesterday, Apple released WatchOS 2 Beta 3. It came alongside all of the regulars, including iOS 9, Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan, and Xcode 7. There is still no signs at all that Apple is still supporting the current Apple TV model. As usual, I publish the release notes whenever Apple releases a new beta; however, they seem to like to wait a day or so before publishing the WatchOS…

Hands On with WatchOS 2 Beta 2

Hands On with WatchOS 2 Beta 2

By Rich W Woods I’ve done it. I’ve taken the plunge into WatchOS 2. Just like Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan Beta 2, I do not recommend installing WatchOS 2 Beta 2 under any circumstances. The big reason that you shouldn’t install it is that there’s no way to go back. It took an hour and a half to install on my Apple Watch and I thought it was bricked, which would have been…

Here’s the Release Notes for WatchOS 2 Beta 2

By Rich W Woods Today, Apple seeded WatchOS 2 Beta 2 to developers alongside iOS 9 Beta 2, Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan Beta 2, and Xcode 7 Beta 2. The release notes weren’t available just yet, which is why they weren’t in my original article. Of course, WatchOS 2 Beta 2 has been since pulled, but here are the release notes anyway.

Apple Pulls WatchOS 2 Beta 2

Apple Pulls WatchOS 2 Beta 2

By Rich W Woods You know, I really have to say. Microsoft takes plenty of heat for its inability to communicate. Rightfully so. They suck at it. So let’s take a look at a company that solves that problem by simply not communicating at all: Apple. Today, Apple released Xcode 7 Beta 2, iOS 9 Beta 2, WatchOS 2 Beta 2, and Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan Beta 2. Last week, I wrote an…

Apple Seeds WatchOS 2 Beta 2, Still Can’t Restore

Apple Seeds WatchOS 2 Beta 2, Still Can’t Restore

By Rich W Woods Today, Apple seeded WatchOS 2 Beta 2. This comes alongside iOS 9 Beta 2, Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan Beta 2, and Xcode 7 Beta 2. Oddly enough, there are no release notes posted, so I can’t provide those. There is one key thing that hasn’t changed. You still cannot install WatchOS 2 and revert back to WatchOS 1.0.1. Some speculated that Apple would provide a downgrading tool for those…

Apple Watch Sport Review: It Won’t Get You Laid

Apple Watch Sport Review: It Won’t Get You Laid

By Rich W Woods I bought my Apple Watch Sport the day that preorders started, as soon as they started at 3:00 AM. Even though I placed the order as soon as I could, I was told 4-6 weeks, just like anyone else that didn’t get their order in by 3:05; however, I ordered the 42 mm space gray model, so unlike everyone else, I actually had to wait 4-6 weeks for mine. Five, specifically….

Don’t Install WatchOS 2 Beta

Don’t Install WatchOS 2 Beta

By Rich W Woods Don’t install WatchOS 2 Beta. Just don’t do it. I don’t care if you’re a developer, a fan, or if you’re an alien from fucking Mars. Just don’t do it. Keep in mind, this is coming from someone that always installs betas on everything with no fear of the impact it will have on performance. This isn’t about performance. It’s about so much more, and we’ll get to all of it.

Apple Pulls iPod from their Homepage. What it Means

Apple Pulls iPod from their Homepage. What it Means

By Rich W Woods For the first time since 2001, Apple is not advertising that they sell an iPod. They still sell an iPod, but it’s not out front anymore. Let’s talk about the elephant in the room. The obvious answer here is that it means Apple is going to kill the iPod. After all, this is crunch time. They bought themselves another year by supporting the A5 processor with iOS 9, but you can…
