The wait is finally over! You can now get Cortana on iOS and Android! Yes, I know. You probably don’t care. Windows users care about Cortana and if you’re a Windows Phone users, you’re probably a little upset about this.
I hear people over and over saying that they’e not going to install this thing, but I can give you a couple reasons why you should.
For one thing, you might own a Microsoft Band or Microsoft Band 2. If you do, it will soon integrate with Cortana on iOS and Android, allowing you to have the additional functionality usually reserved for Windows Phone users.
Downloading Cortana will also allow your phone to work much better with your Windows 10 PC. With the latest Windows 10 update, users can actually send texts through Cortana, assuming you have a Windows 10 Mobile phone. Of course, this feature will eventually come to Cortana on iOS and Android as well.
In other words, even if you don’t plan on using it, it gives your phone a link to your PC, allowing them to communicate with each other.
