Microsoft seems to be in the process of adding more devices to the list that the Windows Device Recovery Tool supports. This time, it’s the LG Lancet. It’s kind of a big deal.
There’s two reasons that it’s kind of a big deal. For one, it’s the first phone supported that’s not made by Microsoft or HTC. Second, that means that it’s the first phone to be supported that’s not supported by the Windows 10 Insider Preview.
Remember, there’s a reason that only Lumias and the HTC One M8 for Windows are supported by the Windows 10 Insider Preview. It’s because no one has any way of rolling back. Now that Lancet users have a way to do this, look forward to it being supported by the Windows 10 Insider Preview soon.
NOTE: I’m testing the Lancet to see if it supports the Windows 10 Insider Preview right now. It’s likely not, since it’s not one of the official supported devices, but I’ll give it a shot.
