Microsoft Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL to Support USB C

Ah, rumors. It was over a month ago now that I confirmed 20 MP rear cameras, 5 MP front cameras, and pen support in the XL model. Now, there are new rumors floating around, this time about USB-C.

USB-C isn’t the biggest deal, except for the fact that there really aren’t any Windows PCs that support USB-C. Even the new Surface 3 doesn’t support USB-C.

The report also says that the Lumia 940 and 940 XL will support wireless charging, which is no surprise. There are also rumors of an iris scanner, allowing for biometric security from Windows Hello.

As far as the rumors go, the Lumia 940 and Lumia 940 XL will use 5.2″ and 5.7″ QHD displays, respectively, Snapdragon 808 and Snapdragon 810, respectively, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, and 3000 mAh and 3300 mAh batteries, respectively.
