Last month, Apple wowed the world with their new MacBook. It’s super thin and it’s super light; however, it has been heavily criticized by both press and consumers alike because it only has a single USB C port, forcing users to buy an adapter to hook up virtually any kind of device to their MacBook.
Of course, we tend to forget that the Surface Pro 3 also has but a single USB port. Of course, it has a separate power port, which helps, but nevertheless, if you’re a Surface Pro 3 owner, you’ve probably got a USB hub as well.
I’ve had a USB hub for some time, as I’ve used a Surface for a long time. It broke. I found this to be the perfect opportunity to invest in a Surface Pro 3 Docking Station, which provides five additional USB ports and a mini display port.
Here, I explain why I fell in love with the Surface Pro 3 Docking Station almost immediately. Also, I explain why the USB ports that it adds are much more than a simple USB port. In other words, the Surface Pro 3 is much more than a stand for your Surface Pro 3 and a USB hub, which is what it appears to be on the surface (pun intended). Check it out.
